The model PF 215 is the most powerful hand held degausser available. It can erase 4mm, 8mm and all other hard to erase media. It is used for small quantities of media because it overheats quickly. An automatic circuit breaker turns the degausser off when the temperature rises to its maximum point. Due to the heat and power of this unit, it is not possible to manufacture a 220 VAC; 50 Hz version.

The duty cycle is one minute on and thirty minutes off.

A few seconds is all it takes to completely erase a tape.
