ATHANA International, Inc. is a California based manufacturer of superior quality computer media, designed specifically for the data market. Established in 1971, ATHANA began as a manufacturer of disk packs and disk cartridges. These products were used in mainframe applications by companies including IBM, Digital Equipment, Honeywell, Fujitsu, and ICL.
In 1977, ATHANA expanded it's operations to include the production of floppy disks. This market provided ATHANA with dynamic growth, and it became the leading independent manufacturer of this form of computer media. In 1991, ATHANA once again expanded it's operations to include quarter-inch data cartridges, optical diskettes, and helical scan data cassettes.
